The event kicked off at 1pm with three 20-minute heats filled of six trimmers each with the top two longest rides to the beach making it through to the finals.
Soon enough the 6 trim finalists lined up on the beach to duke it out for the coveted ‘Doyen of Trim’ title. Our final six included Josh Williams, Pacha Light, Matt Cuddihy, Kai Ellice-Flint, Wispy, and Lauren Hill.
FINAL RESULTS
1st Place - ‘Doyenne of the Trim’, the wonderful Lauren Hill who still took gold despite a fin malfunction with the longest ride right to the sand riding it in all the way to the beach (and over the rocks) - 143m
2nd Place - Devotee of Trim - Kai Ellice-Flint - 138m
3rd Place - Disciple of Trim - Pacha Light – 136m
